Being the most coveted course, MBA is the top most choice made by most of the aspirants, who aim to make it big in the world of business administration and entrepreneurship. The exam is taken on an annual basis, by lakhs of aspirants of various age groups. However, the difficulty level often changes slightly every year, pertaining to the various sections present in the exam question paper. Over the years, the syllabus of the CAT exam has changed considerably, and also the job prospects via the MBA courses have changed. Check the exam pattern and the syllabus
The basic method and algorithm to follow, is to keep a regular track of the syllabus and the advances made in the sections of the paper.
The total number of questions is 100, with the maximum marks as 300. The sections include- Verbal and Reading comprehension, Data interpretation, Logical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude. For each section, approximately 60 minutes is needed, for the test, which is conducted in English language, and online. Negative marking is a factor, which one needs to be wary of. There are two sections, one with 70-75 MCQ’s, and having negative marking, and one with 25-30 MCQ’s without any negative marking.
Try sectionalism with the subjects
In order to succeed you should have a proper breakdown and chart down your subject topics properly, before you start preparing. Give each and every topic equal importance and prepare a timetable for the same to study. Since there are sectional wise cut offs, it is necessary that you should be having a good score in all the three sections, in order to get a good ranking.
Managing time is an essential commodity, if you wish to crack the entrance exam of any course, not only MBA. With a stipulated time limit of one hour for each section, you would need to give plenty of mock tests beforehand, in order to succeed well in the actual exam.
